THE HISTORY AND FUTURE OF RIMAR
YACHTS
Passion for Sailing:
A constant over time, a guarantee.
INNOVATIVE DESIGNS, MODERN CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES AND
A CRAFTSMAN'S CARE IN PRODUCTION ARE THE GUIDELINES IN OUR
SHIPYARD.
RIMAR yachts is a boatyard that, over the years, has
established itself in the Italian nautical scene for the excellent
quality and the sailing performance craft from 9 to 15 meters
(29 feet 6.36 inches to 49 feet 2.52 inches), but not only
for that. Since 1977 when Renzo Sartini founded the
boatyard, Rimar has offered its clients the chance to know
the ship that they will own, to follow it during the various
production phases, to understand how it is constructed, in
order to have complete confidence in it once it's put to sea.
To this we can add prompt after-sales assistance provided
directly by the shipyard, able to satisfy in a short time
almost all shipowners' needs.
All sailboats in the range, from the smallest, the Rimar 31.3
to the largest, the Rimar 50, are made with the same construction
method and with the same care in the details which distinguishes
the small-scale production of the shipyard. Each model is
designed and made following very precise dictates: water lines
and performance appendaces, comfortable interiors which take
the best advantage of space, use of materials and fittings
of the highest quality.

In recent years the range of Rimar boats has been increased
by three new models that make up the fast-cruiser
line: the Rimar 36 designed by Group Finot
in 2001, the Rimar 44.3 designed by Ceccarelli
yacht design in 2002 and, in 2003, the Rimar 31.3,
designed by the boatyard's engineering department.
In addition, a new model, to be presented in 2006, is being
created, the Rimar 41.3. These boats offer excellent sailing
performance and are built using cutting-edge methods like
the thermanto sandwich made in a vacuum, for the topside
and deck; but they also assure great comfort whether under
sail or docked. In fact, the interiors feature furniture
in American cherry, leatherette upholstery and portholes
that all open.
Alongside these new sailboats of the fast-cruiser
line is the Rimar 50, a boat principally for crusing,
with luxurious interiors and prestigious fittings, which
can be customized according to the requirements of the shipowner
and the crew.
In the future of RIMAR yachts there are important
goals to reach, such as the completion of the series with
the creation of two new models, a 33/34-footer and a 38-footer
currently on the drawing board, and the expansion of the
boatyard's production capacity with the construction of
a new facility that will have much more floor space than
the current boatyard, which will be used for making prints
and models of boats.
The company's staff has also developed in recent years,
with the historic founder Renzo Sartini now joined
in managing the shipyard by his sons Stefano and Paolo who
handle the purchasing department and production coordination,
respectively, and by Mr. Stefano Aldrovandi, head of sales
and marketing department.
Although years pass and times change, RIMAR yachts' passion
for sailing remains unchanged and it grows together with
the desire to constantly improve.
